Hi newbie question about a saxon coin found today

hi my names jimmy and im from essex, i go metal detecting and today i found my first saxon coin, but i cant seem to find a coin like it, i know its a penny of Offa, but thats it

does any one know much about saxon coins that could help me ?

Hi do you record your finds with UKDFD, it is worthwhile, Rod should be able to give you an ID :)

Don't know much about such coins but I found these : finds.org.uk artfund which suggest it's a light coinage penny, possibly Blunt 40.

You haven't shown the other side which might help ID further, but a nice find!
