I am new to the site and I have a 1791 Liverpool halfpenny. I don't know too much about it, wondered if anyone could tell me what is is and where it was used and what for?? Many thanks.

Many cities in the UK during this period used their own coinage to trade with due to the shortage of coinage during the late 1700s early 1800s, this will be one of those. A reference book called Dalton and Harmer will point you to its value, check it out at your local library as its an expensive book to buy for just 1 coin
