Been watching this 1909 florin on the bay,i cant see why its made so much

Spink book price is £300 in EF, so it's in the right ballpark.

It would be in the ball park if it was EF, sadly it looks like a raggedy assed GVF complete with rim nicks, edge knocks and scratches to me.

not strictly true my bid was £115 but didnt register as all the snipes went together.

If i was paying that kind of money id need either a proper look and maybe return if not upto spec or buy from a shop

I would rate it EF but you're right about the general ugliness. Someone paid way too much IMO.

Yes, I'd go with EF or around that, but it's a fairly poor photo and could be lower. I think my valuation would be round about what pies offered, so somebody may well have got carried away.
