How would you grade this

I'd grade that NEF pies.

As in Nearly Entirely F*cked. Sad.

I'd grade that NEF pies.

Indeed, or even BU, as in Blinking Unforgivable that an eBay dealer should stoop so low ...

As in Nearly Entirely F*cked. Sad.

Perhaps by 'uncirculated' he means the scratches go straight across rather than around in circles?

Some people are blatantly stupid when they buy from that muppet. He consistantly overgrades even when the coin is f****d. Him and Mr Platt are old buddies. UNC my arse.

previously known as Richparfishing, if anyone remembers him. Never understood why people change their names on ebay. I've always used the same one, I buy on it and sell on it, and guess what, it's my real name!

Nothing to hide. :)

Yes, the reverse has been well and truly Brillo'd. Not even EF in my book.

Nowhere near EF, even without the Brillo!

Clearly his knowledge of history is as good as his grading. First 1901 Edward VII coin I've seen  Given the predominance of shite offered, does he buy it or produce it? You have to suspect the latter. Take a grotty, dull, worn and otherwise unattractive coin. Brillo it and make a grotty, shiny, worn and otherwise unattractive coin. If people could be held accountable for their claims, he'd be in serious trouble. There must be a lot of very unhappy sellers somewhere down the line.

You should ask the seller if it has been cleaned at all, just so we can laugh at the response! :D

Go for it Mongo! I've already peed him off! I think we should all ask him searching questions, the scumbag!

Nice avatar, Paulus, is that your's?

Back to thread...isn't that a bit of silver-peel going on too?

It is, my suberbly toned 1902 6d! In my top 10 eye appeal coins that I luckily own, here is the Rev:

I was motivated to change my avatar by our newest member 50 (per)cent silver!

Back to thread...isn't that a bit of silver-peel going on too?

I wish he could be struck off and I hope no-one is tempted into paying much for it, really makes me quite angry!

Ahh, yes, I remember it now, a bit of a long debate about the reverse if I remember correctly?

I'd say that is the prettiest 'modern' silver coin I've seen in a very long time, beautiful!

Indeed, Dave (Azda) correctly pointed out that the veins on the leaves could be better, but it is one of those that just looks gorjus to me, regardless that there are higher grades out there ... the mutt's nuts as Mongo would put it!

He has 'downgraded' it to the totally ambiguous 'High Grade' now, we are getting there!

He's probably talking about the grade of sandpaper used.

Your sixpence is still a nice coin Paul, it would take a true stunner to Kick that out of your collection, in fact, i would'nt even bother looking for a replacement for it.
