how come i cant get any Edward VII Florins in good condition?

Hey guys, i have purchased 2 Edward VII florins from my local coin dealer, and they are both in ok condition, but nothing special. They both have quite a bit of damage, and i cannot seem to find any eddie VII florins in really good condition - why?

Why are you buying damaged coins? Just because they are the first thing you find? I see you are quite young and by extension new to the game. You must learn to cultivate some patience because you might have to wait months or years for the right coin to come along.

they were going cheap and i wanted one because i love them so much, but everywhere i look i just cannot seem to find one that looks like it is worth the amount of money a good one is going for. but i need to get more four pences so i might have to wait to get some really good eddie vii florins

How about cutting back on the fourpences (groats, or are you in to Maundy?) for a while and saving up for a quality example of your favourite coin? (sounds like a decent Edward VII florin at the moment!!!) ... you won't regret it, if you buy well it will be a constant joy to behold and own!

I found out that higher grade Edward VII florins are difficult to find, especially in case you reside outside UK

I purchased two florins a couple of years ago for about 20 Euro each, which seemed to me to be a reasonable price. I will go for some pieces in xf condition later. For now I will simply stick onto those as a kind of reference piece. You have to be patiend on that issue and you have to look around until you find the right piece.
