There's an old thread somewherearound here where we had the debate on the new 2004 coins. I don't think anybody was enthusiastic about them at all!

The Churchill Crown, you either hate it, or you hate it.

Winston may have been a very good leader during those dark war years, and ironically darkness was probably the best kind of light to view him in! It has to be said, he was no oil painting!

When he passed away in 1965 the Royal Mint produced a coin to honour him featuring his bust on the reverse. Many have said this was the ugliest coin ever produced.

apart from the Golden Dollar and the Jeff nickel which i can't stand. (especially the latter)

But there was one from the Netherlands somewhere that was really really bad! (in modern art style) the king on the front looked like he had leprosy.

it's only because they haven't seen all the good stuff out there... once someone's seen a gothic crown that's pretty much destroyed every other crown in existence's chance of being considered the best.
