I haven't come across this mint before. Or, if I have, I'm confused by the amount of damage to the coin! Anyone...?

It's an Edward I London penny.

CIVI TAS LON DON - starting at 3 O'clock with the orientation of your image.

Thanks, chap. Is it possible to be more specific, or does the quality of the coin prohibit that?

Do you mean specific in terms of the reading of the mint? :unsure:

If you mean in terms of class, then yes, unfortunately the photograph does make things difficult.

I was thinking of class, yes. But I see your point about the quality of both photo and coin. I'll try and engage some lighting sources next time!
