A PROPER one! Not too many Oak Nut coins in that condition! I take it that one won't be hitting your site?

Yes, very nice. Even if the overmark does look a bit like (that excessively rare mark only issued for one day, on 1 April 1573) a squished ant.

:P

This should bring you back to earth. 1566 3d, i.m. Lion (over Portcullis rev)

Just spent about an hour trying to get these onto photo-Bucket!

I was wondering about the obverse mark, what do you think? It looks as possible an overmark on your obverse too? I'm not completely sure, would be good to have the full res images of this coin too, as my '66 PC obverse may be the same die as your's. I even thought the reverse might be too, just for a small while!

Whoops! Thought that was resized! There is definitely something wrong with PB, I've uploaded images that show in the number count, but aren't displaying in my library...so I can't add the reverse tonight, sorry!

Certainly not the same obverse die as the cross on top of the crown doesn't touch the inner circle at the same point on a bead, the Z of ELIZ is misaligned on one and not on the other and the A of REGINA is further/closer to the outer circle. I think it might be over portcullis too, but isn't as obvious in the hand as the reverse.

Ahh, now once again, you see, this is where I come unstuck with the phone, which I'm back on now, after only just managing to upload the image link from Rubbish-bucket before flattening the battery...a totally wasted hour trying to upload images, and I didn't even fully succeed!! Time to look for a new image host I think! Will definitely check out the https one recommended earlier!

The i phone is beyond me despite having 2 teenage daughters who blitz me with techno.

They just drain me of money....their friends and boyfriends come to my house....How many fathers serve up Cuban cigars to 18 year olds. They like me.

What was that other photohosting site again? I just tried to use photobucket. Well apart from 2/3 of the page being adverts and only a fraction my actual photos it was so slow to move through the images (I only have one album) that I just had to close it down. I simply can't navigate at all around my own pics with this new setup. No bloody use at all!

This was the secure server recommended, though I haven't had time to create an account and check it out, yet! It's on the list of to-do's, so if you find out ahead of me, I'd appreciate your thoughts! ;)

Me too, I really hate Photobucket.

Dropbox is a good sync'ing service which you keep a separate folder for on your own computer. One of the things you can do (they supply the folder when you download and run the free software) is put photos you want to share in its 'Public' subfolder. Dropbox then uploads the picture(s) and you get URLs which you can share with people. You only get 2 (2.5?) GB of free online storage, but they boost that by 500 MB every time you recommend Dropbox to someone else and they start using it. I'm on 3.2 GB at present but I have no idea where the "point 2" came from!

Another site which seems to me to be friendlier than P'bucket, is Image Shack, where you can upload pictures, get URLs in various formats, and choose whether you want the pictures to be public or private.

PB worked fine for me before the recent change, now there are adverts everywhere and it seems more difficult to use, I am looking elsewhere too
