1861 Half Penny, Half Over Halp!

Recommended Posts

I just bought this 1861 Half over Halp, Half Penny from a guy in Italy. This is a pic from his add. I'll send some better pic's when I receive the coin.

HI Bob,

When it arrives, check for the obverse variety...

The HALP variety exists with both Obverse 6 and with Obverse 7...

The obverse 6 is the more common of the two.... The obverse 7 is much scarcer.......

Thanks Gary,

I'll check it out, after I get it in hand. I didn't realize that there were two types of obverses . I have Mal Lewanden's disk of half penny varieties, I'll have a look!
