Very true!!! Lets hope it isn't a white wash!! Though I am strongly against the £50 early bird entry I think it puts off far too many collectors and only benefits dealers who aren't exhibiting giving them chance to scour the floor before anyone else to get the bargains - not that there will be many of those!!!

I attended a couple of years ago and picked up a 1902 low tide penny UNC with nearly full lustre for £25. It was the 2 to gap variety which I wasn't even aware of until two weeks earlier when you auctioned on for £400.

Great find!!!! So even if you had paid £50 to get in you would have still been very much in profit ;-)

Probably paying the early bird ticket price would only be worth it between 11 and 12. If you arrived at 2pm, you might as well wait until 2:30 and pay just £5.00. I might go down on Saturday, but I'd go for the £5 ticket.

The London fairs are the only regular fairs I haven't been to.

Basically I like the Birmingham and Wakefield fairs because they are on a Sunday.

If you Q about 9:45am you will be amongst the 1st 50 in.

I would like some feedback from the Coinex ETC.

In the main are they not the same dealers on the circuit?

Peter, I will be exhibiting for the first time ever at coinex this year, I have done the other London shows, I think the main difference with Coinex is that you get more international dealers and collectors, though it will be very interesting!! I will try to give feedback after the show or maybe even during the show if it is that quiet and I am bored ;-)

I'll be there on Friday too - if anyone wants to meet for coffee/sandwiches during/before/after I'd be delighted to meet fellow forum members!

Look forward to that, NRP, it'll be interesting to hear about, in light of what we are seeing in the auctions presently.

Good luck and multiple sales! :)

I was exhibiting and overall yes it was good. I did mainly all my business on the Friday and although quieter during the period of the "early bird" entrance it really picked up after that!! The Saturday started slowly but after an hour it became extremely busy!! From a dealer point of view the Friday was much better. I haven't done Coinex before I believe it wasnt quite as busy as last year.
