Apple Browser And Flash Player

Recommended Posts

Most of you who own an Apple product will know that Flash Player is'nt compatible with iphones and ipads etc. Well i was on the saleroom today and an advert popped up on the Scrolling preview suggesting a browser called puffin which would enable an iphone or ipad to use Flash.

As i don't use the Laptop much These days due to having an ipad it generally frustrated me that i could'nt watch live bidding online because of the Flash Problem, anyway, i've downloaded the puffin browser (you can have a 2 week Trial or buy for 1.99) so i went ahead and purchased it and low and behold it works a treat, so DNW live bidding from the bed in the morning, just Need a serving wench to fetch me a cuppa tea

 Good to see you haven't changed, Dave, even if your browser has.

Flash was rightly panned by Jobs (you only need to look at the version number of each upgrade - e.g. 10.1.4892 - to see how much Adobe tinkers with it, trying to plug the holes in it like a little Dutch boy with his finger in the dyke). I was invited by Adobe to download their latest 'upgrade' a few weeks ago. My computer slowed right down. According to Activity Monitor, Flash was using all my CPU and 25% of my RAM, so I went into Time Machine and restored the previous version.

Long story short, your iPad is better off without it, and if there is a lo-cost patch to get around it, so much the better.

You may have both read it wrong. The Puffen browser is INSTEAD of Flash player boys. The goblin is heating up, DNW in the comfort of the water bed and Silk Black sheets, the Goblin will have to do as serving wench for now :D

Outside America, ice skaters don't end up in prison, so I don't blame you for never hearing about Torvill & Dean.

I believe it's entirely English and unknown across the water.
