The listing on the 2nd one says 1813, but I cant find info on an 1813 one? and tbh looks like 1818 to me on the image :/

It will be 1818 - a rather grimy VF (or possibly AVF) if you're being strict.

The original coin would have been Fair without that damage to the centre reverse - you'd have to rate it Poor with that damage (graffiti scratched out?).

The first one is dire and best put out of its misery because nobody could possibly collect them in that condition, surely? The second is better, but still struggles to reach VF. The fuzziness doesn't help.

Looks to me as if it was engraved at some point and someone has taken a while to erase whatever message was put there. As Rob says, it grades as Dire.

I think you'd have to pay someone £5 to take it off you.

As to the Morgan, it's not clear from the reverse photos but it looks as if it might have been abrasively wiped in the fields to me. With the scratches to the obv I can't see it as an attractive buy myself. But if you can get it for close to the silver value ...

Personally I've always found better grade coins are less likely to cause me to regret my purchases later, but I know everyone is different.

The dollar is Very Fine (minus the scratches). If the scratches are on the plastic container, and not the coin...then VF! The scratches will downgrade the dollar to Bullion Value, which is about $15-16.00. The reverse of the coin is about average for a VF coin!

If that was a 1889-CC instead of a 1889-P that was shown...you would be looking at a $1500 coin (minus the scratches of course).....The 1889-CC is one of the really tough CC coins!

The 1837 could be described as Fair/Poor or even NF/Poor although I agree it's pretty worthless. .

The melt value of sterling has dropped 30p a gm ? The guy on the market was only doing 20p on foreign/US 80% silver.

Roadkill for the Peter's family this year.
