i have an early queen victoria coin undated with victoria regina on the face side andthree playing cards on the obverse side the cards are 6 of hearts,a faded picture card (diamond) and 5 of clubs. can anyone tell me what it is and if it is worth anything as i thought it was illegal to have gambling associated with coin of the realm. i would love to know its history.

It was very common in the Victorian era to have gambling tokens made to look like old coins, normally made of brass and depicting George III.

If that's what you have it doesn't sound familiar, but I expect it is a gaming token.

Are you registered? you can post a scan if so.
