I'm looking at the coin on my phone... small image, but my impression is that it is an obverse 2....

Back of head away from B

front leaf points to colon

I think I see LCWYON on bust..

I won't say "final answer" till I look at a large screen...

Maybe someone else can check too...

False alarm. Found it. It's their.

Leaf peeping in a New England Autumn is much easier.

I was a little unsettled as the highest leaves did not seem as close to the linear circle as I thought they should. Sure glad it's not a 2. Unless you can turn it into a 2 B.

Kind regards

Mark

Where have they hidden the extra leaf? I bought this as a Ob 6 wondering if it is in fact an Ob 5.

Any thoughts.

Kind regards

Mark

'Where have they hidden the extra leaf?' If you are JN Coins as per your signature, why talk about yourself in the third person? Sorry, I'm confused

Nice site Mark.

Bookmarked. For when some Tower shillings that might fill a gap or two in my collection turn up! :P

Rob,

When I put the coin up I checked it out and was concerned I had made an error when I originally purchased it. Soon sorted it out but thought I needed help. Hope it explains

Kind regards

Mark

Hello Mark,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's an obverse 2, reverse D, Freeman 10.

(Obverse 2, based on the distance between the top of the bust and the linear circle, the colon between D & G points to a tooth, the position of LC Wyon on the truncation, the position of the ribbon ends etc.)

I know what my gut told me, but couldn't be sure on a small screen..

Sorry, I should have pointed out that we were in agreement! I usually struggle on the iPhone, but sitting in front of a 27" iMac now! :)

Thanks guys. I missed this when I bought several pennies back in the summer. Something did not seem right when I put it up on the site. Still nice coin and I did not overpay. Will have to rethink it.

Kind regards

Mark

That is a nicely designed site, Mark...what are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

No, not at all. Can you be more specific?

Sorry, design software for the site! Is it a drag n drop design with integral shopping cart provided by the host? Or is it bespoke, dream weaver, or home-built with HTML etc?

Bespoke by my designers in New Zealand.

It is good yes - it looks like a PrestaShop template - have a look at Colin Goode's header on his site and you'll see the parallels. My prototype shop uses it too, but you mustn't look yet because it's not really ready... ^_^

Some nice sites being put together here! One or two of the traditional sellers could be falling behind if they're not careful (though not in terms of stock).

Very nice website design, smooth interface accompanied with some very nice pictures.

I like the idea of an 'Under £100' section too..

Thanks guys for your kind remarks.

I have very, very patient designers who helped me on the way. I like what they have done.

As to under £100 I liked the idea. Just felt anyone on a budget, for whatever reason, or a young person building a quality collection for the future might find it helpful.

If your looking to build or transfer a site you may want to look at Squirrel mail.

Kind regards

Mark

Yes I have, Colin!

The shop is the only part that is even close to ready though. It tends to be squeezed in right at the end of the day when I have done everything else... :)

Just got around to letting Lockdales know that I had bought this penny as a 6+g. It transpired that it was a 2+D, thanks Accumalator & Bronze & Copper.

Anyway when I bought it to their attention they asked me to bring it in. I just live up the road. They agreed that they had mis described it and they handed over a cheque for the full amount.

Have to say I didn't expect that, thought they would hide behind terms and conditions. It was back in September.

So I'm as quick to criticise as the next person when things aren't right. Fair play to them for going beyond what I expected.

Thanks again guys.

Regards

Mark
