Only a fool would spend something he paid more than 20 quid for for a mere 20 quid. What about a credit or debit card?

Probably to draw attention to the fact that mints produce all sorts of crap as 'legal tender'.

'Coins' by a rather loose definition IMO

I have tried to spend a couple of the old two pound coins - the ones before 1997 and have been practically called a forger and told that the police would be called on me.
