Mintage Figures

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how many 2011 shield 50p's (not in sets) were minted?
and where can I get this information in the future?

It just tells you the mintage figures for 2008 to present, but it says 22,747,000. I got that from here - http://www.royalmint.com/discover/uk-coins/coin-design-and-specifications/fifty-pence-coin

You can click into each coin for mintage numbers. Another good source, although it doesn't mention mintage figures for the Matthew Dent design, is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifty_pence_%28British_coin%29.

Also, as a side note, if you ever want to talk 50ps then give me a shout!

I've collected them all except for some unique rarities (such as the olympic aquatics with lines on face). I also don't have the Glasgow Commonwealth 50p but the only reason I don't is because I don't want to pay £10 when I can just wait and get it for a few quid in a few months :P

Thanks for the info, the only reason I asked, is I have a little habit of picking up good looking year sets out of my change and haven't come across the 2011 50p just the shield one.
