Does Anybody Have A Moore Pattern Penny P2135?

Recommended Posts

Hi All. I'm looking for a decent image of a P2135 pattern penny to overlay on the piece below. When Shorthouse made a few restrikes of Moore's other patterns (cf. P2099-2134) in 1886, the die for the P2135 was missing. I think that the reason for this was the coin below which may have a trace of the original final A in GRATIA between the B & R of BRITT and almost certainly has used the same diademed bust punch. The coin in question is the one with this bust, but the legend is different. If anyone can supply a decent image of the normal coin it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks as though nobody, including me, has one Rob. The Freeman references are 863 (copper) or 864 (tin). I have an example with the same bust, but without the coronet:
