Tooth Or Pearles ?

Recommended Posts

So what the most boring the 1908?

No, the most boring by far concerns the 1937 penny reverse. There's two MICRO-MICRO varieties, which have something to do with whether the exergue line crosses through a tooth or not. Both are equally common, and I've never even looked to see which mine is, or the proof, as I JUST DON'T CARE

I not heard of the exergue example. The pointing of the P in PENNY is the usual way, P to tooth and P to gap. There's two obverse as well.

Sorry, my bad! I've just consulted Freeman, and it's sea level not exergue line :D Shows how much I care...

Yeah both are the differences between the 1937's... P of PENNY to tooth/to gap and sea level crosses through a tooth/above a tooth.

Plus the 2 minute obverse differences, I think it's something to do with the I or the P in IMP but can't remember exactly!

Definitely a MICRO-MICRO variety as Peck says

We need a picture:

Penny1937%20F217%201%20+%20A%20REV%20500Penny1937%20F220%201%20+%20B%20REV%20500

From which you will observe the vast (and undeniably interesting) difference between the relative sea levels and the border teeth! :D

And of course the position of 'P' in PENNY.

Sorry, I hadn' t realized that you could be seriously talking forger.

Go to "numismatique.com", my name to use is "colko", you will see if I am a forger or not.

Thank you for the welcome.

Is that second the proof Acc?

Yes Nord, the second is a proof. I have both currency and proof of each, but these two photos show the sea more clearly.

Note to self. No more collecting varieties as it is no longer socially acceptable.

It all depends - as they say - on the variety!

Tell you what, if I find all 4 varieties of 1937 penny I'll swap you for a 1922 with 1927 reverse.. :D
