Presumably because the description contains the words gold and coin. Talk about learning the hard way.

"1788 A.D England King George III Gold Spade Type Half Guinea Coin / Gaming Token"

Nothing that a bit of punctuation couldn't sort out. Because, to do otherwise would be unethica immor wrong cheati Saxbys.

Want some more?

There's half a dozen full and half ones "In Memory of the Good Old Days" in our local auction a week tomorrow.

Estimate £20-£30.

Shouldn't that be £200-300? I've heard of setting the estimates low to draw in the punters, but £20 is ridiculous.

£200 for six tokens? I agree that would be a low estimate if sold by Saxby's but otherwise...

I'd expect something closer to a grand if Saxby's were selling them. ;)

Long time reader of the forum, but had to register just to say how is this guy sleeping well at night? From completed listings he's sold a total of 17 gaming tokens for over £450 so far.

He's just listed another too. Do they have a bit of a reputation for this?

Nope. Not a bit, but much worse.

Read from here onwards to get an idea.
