Im planning to go South Wales and Devon this august and was thinking if there are any coins related attractions/museums/fairs in those areas?

Any suggestions welcome.

The Royal Mint Museum is in Llantrisant.

Just found out it's closed. The Royal Mint no longer do tours and the exhibitions seem to mainly be at the Tower of London. :(

You could visit all the Saxon mint locations in the South-west. That would give you a pleasant touring holiday :)

Yes that was the reason i wanted to go South Wales, but since i found out its closed i need to find something coin related.

Rob: I have only one day to spend on coins. Was thinking maybe a silver mine or similar.

The only dealer I know of down here (Devon) is Glenn Ogden. You could try his website to see when the next Fair (Phoenix?) is - they have a few coin dealers among all the postcards and stuff. But I'm afraid it's very much a coin-free region. :(

There are a few antiques dealers at the Barbican in Plymouth and there are many coins there, but don't expect them to be reasonably priced.
