Just wondering what online games people play.

I play Ferion sometimes, as Combustion_Reloaded :)

I was used to get all the latest games before they went on sale when I worked at 3dfx and 3D Power, and for free... so when I stopped working for those companies, I was shocked at the prices of PC games, so I do not really buy new ones.

I have like 100 or so games in a box, all gotten free from the companies I worked for, as they where dispose of once we finished "testing".

Now I only buy the Championship Manager games, (now is going to be called Football Manager) almost every year. AS a matter of fact I used to run a fan web site of the game in Spanish, but it was closed 1 month ago for lack of founding, that actually freed a lot of time to dedicated to coins and notes collection. :)

Beside that I play Age of Empires 2 online, I use to play like 10 games a day, or more, now is just 1 or 2, and not everyday.

Something I really enjoy is playing Chess on Yahoo (the only place I know to play for free), but I am not as good as I was when I was 12-14, when I used to compete and won some school championships. Once I stopped competing my friends would not play with me as they where fed up of loosing, and not until recently I found some regular playing partners, so I am not as good as I used to be. A game like chess when you stop playing you loose it, it takes you long time to gain it, and now I do not play every single day, as I use to... so I will never get as good as I was.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It's a freebie too.

Not me. But my wife is very active in a game called "Anarchy Online". She pays $75 every 6 months, plus they are constantly coming out with optional "add-on packs" at $20 a pop, which she has all of. And of course, as the game evolves and advances, the system requirements also advance, and so I have had to upgrade her video card - she has a 128MB right now, but is pushing for another upgrade to 256MB. Also had to increase her RAM to 768MB, add a 5 speaker surround-sound system, and I think she is becoming unhappy with her 17" monitor and wants a 21" flat screen.

I really can't complain at all. I have sat down with the figures, and I spend a LOT more on coins than I do for her game.

I will settle for a free game of spades at yahoo.

I'm going for a massive upgrade soon, although not on the same scale as your wife! I'm going from 256MB RAM to 768MB and also upgrading my graphics card to 256MB (poss. Radeon 9600).
