I concur. The hair detail has the typical coarse cutting you often associate with copies. The harp detail also doesn't match. However, the Spink illustration is for 1766.

It just did'nt look right when i saw it and also grabbed my spink for further assesment, not kosha IMHO.

BTW, I thought that it was a bit too good... Looking online I could not find one even close to that grade. Such a shame; I thought I had a real treasure there!

Certainly looks like it cartwheel. Don't worry, itsnot ebay, but the hair detail just seems all wrong. Where did you buy it?

I bought it in a lot from a boot sale. Big bag with 100's. £8 if I remember correctly, this is a few years ago. Bits of silver were in there, 2 proof sets, nothing too valuable... then that. I bet it would have been worth a good £60 or so? Shame.
