Thanks for all the replies, it came in a box I bought off a friend of a friend for £30, 200 coins in it so its a good deal in my books.

The 'lower grades' section of the CGS grading system is as follows:

20 F F30 15 NF 10 VG 8 VG 5 GOOD 4 FAIR 3 FAIR 2 FAIR 1 FAIR

I know nothing about foreign coinage, but I wouldn't hesitate at £30 for that little lot, plus a 190+ more! :)

You probably even did quite a bit better than £30 in the bullion value of those coins. The silver 2 Franc weighs 10 grams and is probably worth more than bullion value anyway. Nice :)

15p a coin - that can't be bad! Especially considering you have some Victorian-era and earlier 20thC items in there.
