Hi From the UK

Thought I should introduce myself, Name is Lee but commonly use the name Fluke due to the fact I tend to get lucky a lot (the Mrs gave me that nickname and it stuck)

I found predecimal via CCGB2015 when I started collecting in march so I thought it was about time I joined up, I have a pretty extensive collection already, I now need to swot up a bit more in the coin collecting world.

Forum packed with useful information, lots of reading ahead of me

To start off I was collecting pretty much worldwide coinage but recently deepened more into British pre 1900 silver and copper or commemorative silver proofs, that is my focus for now.

Like these for example, one of the first lot of silver proofs I ever bought.

also attached my prized copper find.

The proofs are a bit modern for my taste. But I like the halfpenny. More like that please!

There is still some lustre on the 2pence and the 1799 farthing, then a collection of 17th century British town farthings. The unlabelled coin top left is from what I have found out so far, a Apothecary coin/token and has "John Gilbert at the Bell" on one side and "Bell in new sari" both of them are without spaces so second one is a guess at splitting it up into coherent words. Still haven't got a solid ID on that one, bit of a head scratcher to say the least.
